This is information regarding the election of faculty and staff representatives to the Board of Governors of the University for the 2020-2023 triennium. For more information about the Board of Governors, please click here.
Elections closed on WebVote at 4:00pm on Thursday, December 5th. Results are available on the WebVote system.
"Faculty member" is defined as all persons with appointments in the ranks of Professor (Full/Associate/Assistant), Instructor, Senior Instructor, Professor of Teaching, or Lecturer. Please note that sessional lecturers and emeritus, clinical, adjunct, partner and honorary professors are not eligible.
Vancouver Faculty Representatives on the Board of Governors (2)
According to Section 2(i) of the Regulations for Elections to the Board of Governors and the Senates, the following two faculty members are acclaimed as elected to the two positions on the Board of Governors for faculty members from the Vancouver Campus:
- Anna Kindler, Professor, Education
- Mark Mac Lean, Professor, Mathematics
For the purposes of this election, "staff member" is defined as those employees of the UBC who do not hold an appointment meeting the definition of "faculty member" above.
Staff members, as defined above, from the Okanagan Campus are eligible to vote in this election.
Staff members, as defined above, from the Vancouver Campus are eligible to vote in this election.
Nominations for each of the positions above closed at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 7th.
