Undergraduate students planning to undertake coursework at UBC must be from a UBC student mobility partner institution (Go Global partner universities).
Undergraduate students planning to engage in full-time research at UBC will need to be enrolled in institutions that have a current Memorandum of Understanding (General Statement of Cooperation) or a Student Mobility Agreement signed with UBC.
Scholarship Application Process - students wishing to enrol in coursework at UBC
Canada ASEAN-SEED applicants: In collaboration with the home institution, the student must complete the following forms and send all supporting documents to their home institution. Their home institution will then submit all documents to Go Global via the incoming exchange nomination process by Thursday, February 18, 2021.
ELAP/Study in Canada applicants: In collaboration with the home institution, the student must complete the following forms and send all supporting documents to their home institution. Their home institution will then submit all documents to Go Global via the incoming exchange nomination process by Monday, March 15, 2021.
Scholarship Application Process – students wishing to enrol in Research at UBC
Undergraduate students planning to undertake research at UBC must seek out a UBC faculty member willing to collaborate with the student on a specific international research collaboration. Once they have received approval from a UBC supervisor, students must complete the following and, along with all supporting documents, submit them directly to their research supervisor at UBC who will then submit the complete application to Go Global:
The UBC research supervisor must then complete the UBC Host Supervisor Form and submit this, along with the completed documents the student has submitted to the supervisor, to Go Global at email@example.com by Thursday, February 18, 2021 for Canada ASEAN-SEED and by Monday, March 15, 2021 for ELAP and Study in Canada applicants.

Go Global Partners: Students must contact their home university’s exchange office to proceed with an exchange application (please review the details for the exchange application).
Non-Go Global Partners: Students from universities that are not UBC mobility partners must come through the Visiting International Research Students (VIRS) pathway managed by the Go Global office. Please consult the VIRS website for application procedures and further information.
