2020 President's Advisory Committee for the Selection of a new Dean of the Faculty of Forestry

Elections are being held for faculty and students to serve on the President's Advisory Committee for the Selection of a new Dean of the Faculty of Forestry. 

Faculty members (4 positions available) 
Eligible faculty members are all persons with the rank of professor, associate professor or assistant professor, instructors, senior instructors, lecturers and professors of teaching. Clinical, adjunct, emeritus, sessional, partner, and honorary faculty are not eligible.

Three faculty members were acclaimed as elected in the first round of nominations: Suzie Lavallee, Peter Marshall, Dominik Roeser.

One faculty member was elected in an election that closed at 4:00pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2020: Verena Griess. 

Undergraduate student (1 position available) 

One undergraduate student was acclaimed as elected in the second round of nominations: Alexander Martin.

Graduate student (1 position available) 

One graduate student was elected in an election that closed at 4:00pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2020: Alice Miao.

Submitting a Nomination

The first round of nominations (all positions) closed at 4:00pm on Monday, March 16, 2020.

A second round of nominations (faculty members and undergradate student) closed at 4:00pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. 

A third and final round of nominations (faculty members) closed at 4:00pm on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Instructions for completing and submitting nominations are on the forms themselves. Forms and statements should be scanned and emailed to elections.information@ubc.ca. Deadlines and word limits are strictly observed.

This election is being carried out in accordance with University Policy AP5.
