The Health Promotion & Education team builds campus capacity for achieving the goals of the Okanagan Charter through the following activities:

  • Liaising with staff, faculty, and community partners to explore student health and wellbeing needs and identify ways to enhance student wellbeing
  • Providing professional development and learning opportunities for staff, faculty, TAs, and student leaders
  • Developing educational events, workshops, and communications
  • Collaborating with campus partners to develop innovative health promotion and health education activities
  • Researching promising practices in health promotion within higher education  

This work, in addition to many other activities, is designed to build a supportive environment for students, and to engage campus partners as they develop campus policies and practices that are inclusive, sustainable, and ultimately health-promoting.
