Over the past eight years I have worked throughout UBC. My first five years at UBC were as a temporary employee with Hiring Solutions and I am currently the Executive Assistant to the Director of the School of Nursing. I have served as an assistant to three Deans and one Director and have worked in student services positions in the Centre for Student Involvement & Careers and Counselling Services. All these positions have given me a broad view of the university and as an executive assistant I have been engaged with the various administrative, professional, and student issues staff and faculty have to manage. Prior to working at UBC, I worked for the federal government for five years in abandoned mine reclamation in the Yukon.

In addition to being an employee, I am also a student and a resident here on campus. I regularly participate in events hosted by UBC, and I use the trails and various facilities on campus.

I am a lifelong volunteer committed to giving back to the community. Since moving to Vancouver, I have spent a couple years volunteering with a marine mammal rescue unit, a human rights committee and currently I am entering my third year helping with the APSC United Way activities.

I am passionate about UBC and am personally and professionally invested in how the university moves forward. It is important for staff to be represented at the Board of Governors and I would be available to hear concerns raised by staff.
