It would be my honour to serve you as staff representative to the Board of Governors.

I began at UBCO in 2006 in Student Recruitment & Advising. I valued representing our institution, meeting students from across the country and working with them to achieve their dreams of attending UBC. In 2008, I moved to Academic Advising where I’ve enjoyed working for students, supporting our campus partners and serving a team of dedicated Academic Advisors. Throughout my time at UBCO, I’ve been fortunate to have secondment opportunities. These enriching experiences included Manager, in the Disability Resource Centre and Okanagan Campus Coordinator for UBC Vantage College. Helping launch Management and Applied Science for UBC Vantage College was a rewarding and educational experience. Complimenting my administration roles, I’ve supported students on a personal level, volunteering with UBCO’s canine therapy stress-reduction program (B.A.R.K.) since it launched in 2012. Recognizing the importance of how work impacts health and wellbeing, I’ve collaborated with campus partners to make the AVPS Day of Wellness an annual event.

I’d like to see workplace health initiatives continue to expand, policies and processes streamlined and contribute to commitments in UBCO’s Declaration of Truth and Reconciliation. And I’d want to hear from you; what’s important to you and the issues you want moved forward.

In my work, I’ve made every effort to support students, staff and faculty, and improve services for all. I hope to continue and expand on these efforts as your staff representative to our Board of Governors.
