The Centre for Accessibility provides leadership on issues of accessibility for people with disabilities at UBC Vancouver, working in partnership with faculties to foster inclusive learning, living and working environments for students. The Centre for Accessibility provides support and programming initiatives designed to remove barriers for students with disabilities and facilitates disability related accommodations for members of the UBC Vancouver community.

Over 11% of UBC Vancouver's students are registered as having a documented disability via the Centre for Accessibility. Instructors are critical to the work of supporting students with disabilities and play a pivotal role in ensuring accommodations are implemented in a way that upholds the dignity, privacy, and autonomy of these students.  The responsibilities of instructors in the accommodation process are explained in UBC’s Disability Accommodation Policy, LR7.

The Centre for Workplace Accessibility supports faculty and staff with disabilities, offering workplace accommodations and accessibility options.
