I feel very fortunate to have worked in post-secondary for the last 17 years; nine of those years being here at UBC Okanagan, supporting students in achieving their educational goals through collaboration with colleagues across our campuses. I believe in the benefits we bring to the student body and the University through cooperative innovation and sharing expertise. I appreciate the opportunity to consult with campus partners for their perspectives in order to build robust programming that enhances the student experience and supports the UBC value of a place of excellence. I am hopeful to continue contributing to the University, our students and our community by serving as a representative on the Board of Governors. This is a responsibility to engage, with the big picture in mind, in serving the best interests of the University while working on your behalf to further the experiences of our students, staff and faculty at UBC. My goal is to help inform decisions affecting students and our campus community that shape the campus experience, and to strengthen the positive impact of those decisions on our close knit community while furthering efforts of equity and inclusion.
