About the Conference

Staff and faculty members who advise undergraduate and graduate students joined together for a day of professional development and community building at the second annual UBC Advising Conference. The Conference Planning Committee was excited to bring together a dynamic program with keynote speaker Dr. Shimi Kang, concurrent session tailored to a variety of professional development needs, and a closing session with an address from Professor Arvind Gupta and an interactive talk with Dr. Michael Griffin.

Participants left the conference with new ideas, skills, and connections.
