OAMS

Getting Started with OAMS?

To start using OAMS in your unit, you will need to assign one person in your unit to commit to completing the OAMS related set up tasks and also to become the OAMS trainer within your unit. This person will be referred to as the deployment leader.

The onboarding of OAMS is estimated to take 8-10 weeks, and will require 1 day a week of the deployment leaders’ time.  (This estimated onboarding schedule can be accelerated depending on the deployment leader's availability.)

The Deployment Leader will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with the modules included in the OAMS Onboarding materials
  • Co-ordinate the OAMS system and group email account configuration as well as the scheduling of OAMS stock reports with the Academic Systems Support team
  • Co-ordinate the set up of OAMS user access with the SIS Security Team
  • Complete the OAMS process identification and process impact assessment within your unit
  • Familiarize yourself with the end-user training materials, if necessary
  • Co-ordinate the end-user training sessions, if necessary

Prior to you onboarding OAMS in your office, please contact Carol Naylor: carol.naylor@ubc.ca.
